For Easter I thought it would be a great excuse to make HSO a kitchen set out of daddies old nightstand table.
This is what we started out with. A broken old nightstand table, that daddy actually thought I took from our bedroom to do this project. Which, yes, that could actually happen!
After visiting ikea and buying a bunch of fun stuffed food and spice rack shelving for the nightstand kitchen, I had to make a shelf just for the fake plant to rest on. With a little mdf board and a jig saw to add style we have our shelf!
Since HSO is still young I decided not to add the doors yet, too much of a finger pinching factor. Because the doors were going to be off, I used a 8 inch cake pan as the sink (of course I used my 50% off coupon from Michael’s), so you didn’t see the bottom of it with the doors off. HSO is inspecting as quality control. He’s such a great helper!
We’re almost done. I primed the kitchen set with a primer and paint from Sherwin Williams.
Here we have it! The finished kitchen nightstand! I jigsawed out the faucet and painted the burners on. The knobs are fully turntable. I used hot glue to allow then to turn, yet not come off.
Have you attempted the DIY nightstand kitchen? We want to see!
